The Pope of Vasilios is one of the two major antagonists of Your Throne the other being Eros Orna Vasilios. She is the head of the Temple of Vasilios and one of the two suns of the Vasilios Empire.

Appearance[]

The Pope has long, ash-brown hair tied into a side-braid and slanted reddish-blue eyes set in a pale, angular face.

He is often seen wearing robes of white and gold and mitre on his head. As the head of the Temple of Vasilios, he also carries a long, golden papal ferula. But during the mass burial of the citizens who were killed during the collapse of the Palace walls, he wore black and white robes. And during the martial arts festival, he is seen wearing a pure white robe with light blue and gold accents

Personality[]

As the high Pope of the Vasilios Empire, She maintains a serene and hospitable attitude in public but what lies beyond his facade is far more sinister.

At the beginning of the series, he is shown to be a calm and patient individual who doesn't involve himself in matters of politics unless required to by orders of the Imperial Family, but later it is revealed that he is way more involved than others know.

He is always seen smiling as though nothing ruffles him, but he is capable of getting angry as is seen in chapter 234, when Empress Medea called him a fraud as compared to Pysche Callista.

He also expresses fear when faced with an enraged Mone Callista who was questioning him on the disappearance of his daughter.

Background.[2][]

Not much is known about his past before he became the Pope, but it is known that he became the Pope through an oracle like his predecessors. And like his predecessors, he was obsessed with the notion of divinity and sought to create it. The previous Pope before him sought to give birth to a child with divinity by sleeping with a Callista, whose family was known for possessing divinity, but she failed as the child did not have divinity. The child was Mone Callista who was the father of Psyche Callista.

Lucius knowing this sought another method to create divinity. He took children off the streets who were starving and homeless and more importantly had either brown hair like him or blonde hair like a Callista and brought them to the underground part of the temple where they were brainwashed and experimented on.

Out of all the children who he experimented on, only two survived while the others met very bloody deaths. The children were twins girls who had brown hair and green eyes. They had been able to swap bodies but with side effects. To remedy this Lucius had one of the twin girls marry Mone Callista and the product of their union was Psyche Callista, a child who possessed divinity

Relationships[]

Eros Orna Vasilios[]

The Pope is very loyal to the Prince and supports him.

She falsified the results of the Crown Princess Competition so that Psyche Callista could win as per Eros' request

She gave Eros the sacred relic that was to be used to absorb Psyche's divinity when she was finally killed.

She also confirmed Eros' theory of Medea Solon and Psyche switching bodies during the Martial Arts Festival.

She supports Eros because of an oracle that said that he would lead the Empire to prosperity.

Perion Sov Vasilios[]

The Pope found Perion abandoned in the temple as a baby and left to drown in a pool that She took him in and adopted him to be his son and raised him in the temple.

When Perion grew up, she developed powers that made him stand out, to which the Pope felt threatened and sent him away under the guise that she wanted him to experience the world by himself, but in reality, she was sending him away to suffer.

When Perion finally returned, she was reluctant to ordain him as Cardinal.

She dislikes Perion because he tries to foil her plans.

Psyche Callista[]

The Pope sees Psyche as a pawn to be disposed off.

Although she helped her win the Princess Competition, it was so that Prince Eros Orna Vasilios could kill her and take her divinity.

When she visited the Callista mansion, she told her to stay away from Perion Sov Vasilios under the guise of caring for the Cardinal's reputation.

When Psyche called her out, he told he that she should exist quietly by the Prince's side as she had always done.

It was implied that she has spies watching her.

Trivia[]
