Herschel urged Perion awake[1] to prepare for his departure to The Grand Temple. As he prepared the carriages, he returned to discover Perion fled the room to go on an adventure. In town, they asked around amongst the townsfolk if they witnessed his appearance but to no avail.[2] To their luck, they found him lingering around in a secluded alleyway[3] and forced him to make haste to The Grand Temple where they briefly brushed past the infamous Marquess Helio.[4] Following the events of the meeting, Herschel reprimanded Perion, inquiring what instigated his discourteous behavior towards the priest. Perion then revealed the oracle which prophesied that the one closest to the heart of the Vasilios would bring an end to the empire, leaving Herschel in disbelief as the two contemplated the identity of the one closest to the heart.[5] Despite his warnings about the repercussions of Perion revealing his true identity,[6] Herschel accompanied him to the chapel where Perion conveyed to him his brief encounter with Medea who was in Psyche’s body. There, he witnessed the Pope announce Perion’s cardinal status,[7] and soon after, they encountered the crown prince, Eros.[8] Later that night, Herschel reunited with Perion during his short fight with Medea who was in Psyche’s body, his excessive concerns providing Medea the golden opportunity to make her escape.[9] Some time later, he mentioned to Perion a rumour regarding Medea.[10]
