Eros Orna Vasilios is the main antagonist of Your Throne. He is the Crown Prince of the Vasilios Empire who is currently engaged to Psyche Callista [4] from whom he wishes to steal the divinity bestowed by the guardian deity of Vasilios.[5]
In Episode 146, he later announces the annulment of his engagement with Psyche.
Appearance[]
Eros is tall with broad shoulders and long legs. He has straight, blue hair that brushes the nape of his neck with bangs that sweep across his forehead. His eyes are sharp and silver-colored, set in an angular, pale face. His frame is well-built from consistent physical training.
As the Crown Prince of the Vasilios Empire, Eros often wears dark clothes of fine fabrics embroidered with intricate designs and long capes that sweep the floor.
During public events, Eros is donned in ceremonial attires of white and gold.
Personality[]
Although Eros is the first heir to the throne of the Vasilios Empire, he finds life as a royal boring and pointless. He has very little interest in overseeing the hierarchy and desires power beyond the throne. As the Crown Prince, he projects an image of grace, reliability and strength who possesses proper savoir-faire and conducts himself in a cordial and gracious manner. Towards Psyche Callista, Eros appears as a kind, gentle and protective lover. Behind his father's rule over the monarchy, Eros is cunning, intelligent and strategic where he is capable of analyzing people's personalities and manipulating them at will. As a sociopath, he deceives even those closest to him and feels no remorse for hurting others. He has a blatant disregard for morals and his actions are often self-serving. He is ruthless and cruel towards his enemies and lacks sympathy towards his comrades.[6] As customary for a royal, Eros is skilled at swordsmanship and well-versed in political affairs.[7]
Although the imperial family has difficult relations with the Temple of Vasilios [8], Eros is intrigued by religious powers as he expressed great interest in Psyche's divine power and formulated a plot to steal it from her without repercussions.[9]

Etymology[]
- The etymology of the name "Eros" derives from the Greek word Ἔρως, meaning desire or love.[10]
- The etymology of the name "Vasilios" derives from the Greek word Βασίλειος, meaning royal or kingly. Its name is directly descended from the word King.[11]
Trivia[]
- Eros' character design is primarily blue, a color often associated with sadness and depression.[12] Throughout history, blue has been employed to symbolize reliability, stability, serenity and wisdom.[13]
- Excessive blue tends to invoke cold, impersonal and unfriendly emotions. Deep blue represents a harbinger of night and darkness.[12]
- Eros is the only character whose Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) was not released in the Volume 1 Special Edition.[2]
- Although Eros hosted an imperial banquet to celebrate his 21st birthday [1], it was revealed in the Volume 1 Special Edition that he is currently 22 years old.[2]
- In Greek mythology, Eros is the god of lust and the son of Ares, the god of war, and Aphrodite, the goddess of love.[10]
- Eros was commanded by his mother, Aphrodite, to make the beautiful mortal princess, Psyche, fall in love with the ugliest creature on earth. However, Eros quickly fell in love with Psyche, and after a series of tragic events, Psyche was granted immortality to live forever by Eros' side. Together they gave birth to a daughter, Voluptas or Hedone.[10][14][15]
- Psyche and Eros' love story is considered one of the greatest tales of romance in Greek mythology and has inspired centuries of artwork and story adaptations.[16]
- After returning to her original body, Psyche Callista told Eros that love cannot grow in a relationship full of doubt.[17] This is a direct reference to the Greek mythological Eros, who told his beloved Psyche that "love cannot dwell with suspicion."[18]
- Envious of her lavish life, Psyche's sisters attempted to undermine her relationship with Eros by suggesting that he hid his true appearance of a vile winged serpent. When Psyche attempted to slay the alleged monster, Eros chastised her for betraying his trust and abandoned her.[19]
- Eros gifted Psyche the "Tear of Eos", an ornate necklace with a vibrant pink gem embedded in its pendant.[17] This is an allusion to the greek mythological figure, Eos, the goddess of the dawn. The necklace's pink hue alludes to the goddess's rosy pink arms as she opens the gates of heaven, allowing the sun to rise.[20]
