I promise. No matter what may happen... I'll make sure you do not watch me die. I promise I'll die after you.

Medea Solon to Helio

"Rickety" is the ninety-third released episode of Your Throne by SAM.

Synopsis[]

Medea promises Helio that he'll never see her die. One of the Alkide orphans thanks Medea for reading to them. Perion wonders if bringing her to the orphanage planted a seed of change in Medea, and she seems affected by the girl's gratitude. While dropping him off at the Temple, Medea reminds Perion of her request, which he does not remember. The Pope advises Perion to distance himself from Medea, aware that Medea helped him prepare the financial plan meant to secure his position. The Pope plans to handle the finances himself, under the guise that he can't trust Perion with the finances since he's been away for so long. Perion then remembers that Medea's request was for him to hand out new robes to the priests, which the Pope allows. After handing out the robes, Perion then feels discouraged that he can't tell the corrupt priests from the non-corrupt ones. Perion overhears a priest complaining about the new robes, and realizes that Medea had him do this to deduce which priests were corrupt or not.
